Omega, the extravagant watch manufacturer, is well-known for its exquisite, daring and fluent style in the world. It is gone after by many prestigious stars, politics, and other celebrities in the world, such as Cindy Crawford, Michael Schumacher and the Chinese film star Zhang Ziyi. Since its creation in Switzerland in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega has never held back looking for innovation and advancement.
At the beginning, Louis founded the company by bringing in some manual winding watches from the local crafters for reference. Over years, after numerous trials and alterations, Omega gradually rose to the industry standard.
In 1903, when the company was managed by four youthful entrepreneurs, with only 800 employees, 240 thousand watches were manufactured each year. Due to the bodacious characteristic of its possessors, the company keeps spreading out. The company once rose to number one watch producer in Switzerland. In the 1960s, the company launched the Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronography and put into aviation use. It was applied by NASA and became the first watch appearing in the moon. But the tide turned in 1975 when the economic recession stroke. The company scrambled onward.
In the 90s, the company was reborn with its bold originality. In 1995, the Omega Seamaster Quartz Professional was worn by Pierce Brosnan, a famous film actor. Four years later, in 1999, it mass produced a watch with co-axial escapement and took in much popularity. Ever since then, Omega is so popular among the world that it was picked out to be the Olympics watches.
Omega never halts bettering. Nowadays, it is offering a variety of models. Some of them could be fashionable for fashionistas, while some are professional designed for the professional.I believe the brand will glitter eternally.
